I got a call out about an emaciated extremely weak thoroughbred gelding that arrived at Laidley but was deemed unfit to be auctioned! He was placed in a yard with a one way ticket to the knackery on his head!

He is in a bad way! The photo really doesn’t even show the true extent of how bad he is!

I couldn’t make the sale due to lock down restrictions but I had a friend there so arranged to get him into care!

He is home.. safe and sound but very weak and emaciated.

He is full of gas but starving and to prevent refeeding syndrome we can’t feed him to much at once! For now it’s just grassy hay! The good thing is that the gas is coming out which is great.

Welcome to paradise beautiful boy - eventually he will be paddock buddies with Hudson and Mason.
